A Day in Guadeloupe, Part 1

The Caribbean is a part of the world very close to my heart. I lived in Grenada for several years, and my dad would come to visit often. One of the places we went to was Martinique, the larger of the two French Caribbean islands. I'd always wanted to go back to visit Guadeloupe, and finally I did. I love island life, the slower place, the colors, the abundance of fruits and smoothies that I don't get at home. Guadeloupe was no exception. My travel buddy and I rented a car and basically took off exploring. There's so much to discover, and definitely the chance to practice french skills!!
