Bridal Editorial, Italy

Every time I find myself in Italy, it sweeps me off my feet. I love the sense of timelessness all around me, the idea that history has been happening around me for centuries, even longer than centuries. You can see it in the buildings, you can breathe it in the air. I feel so lucky to be able to go just about every year. Working with Honey and Cinnamon Wed on an editorial at a private Italian villa was basically amazing. First of all, the villa was still owned by the family. They still live there, eat there, sleep there. Although this doesn't sound so different than someone being amazed that I live and sleep and eat in my own home, but my home was built in 1920. I don't have frescos on the ceiling, I don't have furniture dating back a few hundred years ( and if I did, I would have bought it at an antique store ), I don't have an iron work balcony that I can lounge  on while I fix my hair... So yes, pretty amazing!! Federica put together a really wonderful team of vendors, and paid such attention to detail. If anyone is planning a wedding in Italy, Federica is your lady!!
